Video: Weinig Holz-Her North America unveils latest edition of MillVision and Labeler software

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — In this video, the Weinig Holz-Her North America Digital Business Development Team released the latest version of its MillVision and Labeler, two software programs reimagined for the Weinig Manufacturing Automation Platform Suite, also known as the MAP Suite.

Developed in 2001, MillVision is a first-of-its-kind software for the construction industry made to increase efficiency in woodshops. Its newest edition expands existing capabilities with a modern and intuitive interface. Labeler also has a refreshed design for 2023 with advanced functionality.

MillVision significantly reduces human error by organizing the customer's uploaded data and predetermining workflow on integrated Weinig Holz-Her machinery. It eliminates operator interference and applies job parameters designed to increase production yield and decrease production time simultaneously. Built with customer feedback in mind, MillVision's updated look, feel, and increased functionality are easy to approach whether one is an existing user or new to the platform.

MillVision and Labeler integrate with rip and cross-cut saws, work with LuxScan technology, and relieve production stressors by keeping output organized. Instead of manually measuring and eyeballing to identify components, MillVision and Labeler will help you select your jobs, identify dimensions, print labels at the machine, and illustrate where to fix the label to the panel. Labeler provides relief because it keeps a real-time head count for all components. It helps identify individual parts, assists in organizing by cart and slotting, creates a unique id and cart number, and prints labels with unique identifiers to adhere to components.

A former Weinig technician-turned-coder developed MillVision to address the common pitfalls in shop production. Since its inception in 2001, the MillVision software suite has grown tremendously, and its capabilities have expanded to apply intelligent automation to each production stage. With over twenty years in use, MillVision now has a full suite of over nine apps that continue to innovate woodworking technology and machinery within the construction industry.
