Join AWMAC for a discussion of avoiding architectural woodwork mistakes at WMS Live

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Four members of the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC) will discuss some to the most common – and preventable – mistakes that can not only add cost or mar a high-end millwork project but might damage the company’s reputation.

The free session, AWMAC Panel Discussion: Troubleshooting Common Wood Project Miscues, 2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at the WMS Live Stage in the Machinery Hall.

The featured panelists will discuss some of the things that regularly go wrong with projects and how to resolve these issues to the satisfaction of all parties. Additional topics include contractual potholes and how to avoid escalation and litigation, risk management, and more.

This session is an open forum format that will allow audience members to get answers to their questions to help them navigate the typical hurdles on various-sized projects, through proactive negotiation and conflict resolution.

The expert panel includes:

•    Nick Anastasia, AWMAC Ontario President, Archmill House.
•    Ian Christie. AWMAC Ontario Past President & National Director, Upper Canada Forest Products;
•    George Pavlov, Ontario Regional Sales Manager, Grass Canada; and
•    Fadil Selimi, Owner, ZGG Ltd.

AWMAC, in partnership with the Woodwork Institute, developed and updates the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards (NAAWS). The NAAWS is designed to promote quality standards that elevate the architectural woodwork industry. To this end, AWMAC is committed to helping its members achieve continuous improvement and innovation so that they in turn can provide their customers with the highest quality products and services.
