Cehisa One P edgebander

The Cehisa One P model comes with a pre-milling unit and the possibility of having both glue scraper and buffers.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- Normand, one of Canada’s largest full-service importers and distributors of woodworking equipment, will showcase panel processing equipment manufactured by Vitap, Cehisa, and Altendorf at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo.

Among the machines Normand will feature at the three-day show, Nov. 2-4 at the International Centre, include the following.

Vitap K2 2.0 machining center
The Vitap Point K2 2.0’s all-in-one machine capabilities, flexibility, and small footprint make it well suited for shops of all sizes.

The Vitap Point K2 2.0 combines the capabilities of four machines in a revolutionary machining center. It can perform drilling on the surface and on all four sides of the panel as well as groove, rout, and cut square, and shaped parts. Vitap’s patented Bar Nesting System allows the five faces of a panel to be machined in just 4 minutes. The new patented Double Dynamic Transport system (DDT) uses double-clamp technology to facilitate seamless panel movement while also allowing for continuous four-sided milling. The Point K2 2.0’s all-in-one machine capabilities, flexibility, and small footprint make it well suited for shops of all sizes.

Normand will also present the new Vitap Giotto semi-automatic contour edgebander. The Giotto can apply edgebanding seamlessly to round parts with a diameter ranging from 300mm to 2,700 mm. It can also edge curved parts with a minimum interior radius of 250mm and minimum exterior radiuses of 30mm, 50mm, and 80mm for edge thickness of 1mm, 2 mm, and 3mm.

Normand will introduce the new Cehisa One Series edgebander at WMS 2023.  Developed for the small shop, this compact entry-level edgebander features a 3.5-inch color touchscreen, industrial PLC, a centralized pressure beam, and an industrial drag chain providing quality precision. Cehisa’s new patented T-4X multifunctional unit performs end trim, vertical rounding, and flat or radius top and bottom trimming. Optional glue scraper or buffers are also available. The One P model comes with a pre-milling unit and the possibility of having both glue scraper and buffers.
