I am currently refinishing 2 vintage cane bottom chairs made from what I believe is African mahogany. When I applying the stain, I noticed that the rungs are staining a lighter color. I don't know why this is happening on both chairs. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated as I'm at a total loss. Also, any advice or help about wording with African mahogany is welcomed also bc I've had a few issues with fuzzy spots.
