SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - During the 2024 Closets Conference & Expo, April 17-19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center, the Association of Closet & Storage Professionals (ACSP) will host a Designer Exchange (the rebranded format for its roundtables) on Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m.

ACSP wants attendees to experience this innovative format and engage in brief presentations by industry experts, delving into hot topics essential for closet designers. Following each presentation, participate in dynamic group discussions. As the session concludes, join the ACSP on a guided tour of the exhibit hall, showcasing the latest products tailored for designers. Redefine your perspective and stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of closet design. 

Moderator: Wendy Scott, Timeless Closets and Cabinetry, will moderate the entire session. Each presenter is allocated 15 minutes on their respective topics, after which all participating tables will engage in a 15-minute discussion to share their thoughts and the presented topics.

Integrating Leather into Your Designs - Presented by Eric Rosenthal (EcoDomo): Join Eric to delve into the art of seamlessly integrating leather into your design projects. Eric will guide you through creative techniques, sustainable practices, and innovative ideas to elevate your designs. After his presentation, participants will have the opportunity to share thoughts and exchange ideas on this tactile and luxurious design element.

Selling Strategies - Presented by Natalie Dalton (Closetopia): In a fiercely competitive market, being more than just an order taker is crucial for success. Natalie brings her expertise to the table in this dynamic session on selling strategies. Natalie will explore how to stand out as a salesperson, providing practical tips and insights to navigate the challenges of the market. Following the presentation, participants will discuss at their tables, fostering an exchange of thoughts on effective selling techniques and ways to distinguish oneself in the competitive landscape.

Projects Beyond the Closet - Presented by Jenna Shock (Inspired Closets Pittsburgh) and Kate Bernyk (Distinctive Design and Storage Solutions): Step into the world of versatile design with Jenna and Kate as they explore projects beyond the closet. This session goes beyond traditional storage solutions, delving into built-ins, entertainment centers, bars, and more. They will share their experiences and showcase innovative approaches to broaden your design horizons. The subsequent table discussions will allow participants to reflect on the presented projects, exchange ideas, and brainstorm creative applications for their own design endeavors.

The annual Closets Conference & Expo (CCE) is the only national event for all closet and home storage professionals. CCE and WPE each kick off with a separate full-day conference on April 17, co-sponsored by the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals and Cabinet Makers Association, respectively. The two-day co-located expo, April 18-19, features woodworking machinery, supplies, and components. Additional educational programming is offered on each day of the expo.
