SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Wine rooms are taking center stage in the home as statement pieces from the living room to entertainment and rec rooms. To learn more about design trends, styles, cooling considerations, and construction, join DESIGN Talks on Friday, April 19th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. during the Closets Conference & Expo at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

The "Building the Modern Wine Cellar" session will be presented by Jacob Harkins, VP of Global Marketing at VintageView Wine Storage Systems. The following CEUs are available for this session:[IDCEC Credits: .1 CEU | AIA Credits: 1 LU].

Description: The design community has transformed the modern wine cellar, bringing storage out of the basement and into main-floor living in both commercial and residential properties. Proper wine storage is equal parts art and science, and this course covers the big picture of where to start specifying the Modern Wine Cellar.

Learning Objectives:

  • Wine racking styles
  • Cellaring design trends
  • Cooling specifications
  • Construction considerations

VintageView, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, created the label-forward wine rack in 2001. The company says wine racking is now a design feature for the modern home. For more information, visit vintageview.com.
