Closets Expo preview video: EcoDomo leather components

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – EcoDomo will display sustainable leather components at the Closets Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Expo Illinois, April 18-19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

EcoDomo is a vertically integrated manufacturer of leather doors, drawers, countertops, and various cabinet components based in Gaithersburg, Md., that has transformed the application of leather from niche to accessible. The company created Recycled Leather Veneer (RLV), a material born from its dedication to both elegance and environmental responsibility.

EcoDomo created Recycled Leather Veneer (RLV), a material born from its dedication to both elegance and environmental responsibility.

The process for making RLV involves finely pulverizing leather remnants and blending them with a small amount of natural latex. The result, EcoDomo says, is a resilient material with a density surpassing that of red oak hardwood – a true testament to the potential of repurposed leather.

EcoDomo says its cabinet doors and components, fully adorned in luxurious leather, are shipped ready for installation. “EcoDomo seamlessly combines opulence with eco-consciousness, offering designers and manufacturers a unique, hassle-free solution for incorporating leather into their projects,” the company adds. “Our doors and components are as easy to integrate into designs and manufacturing processes as any other door or stone countertop.”
