Elektra to spotlight LED lighting products at Closets Expo
Elektra LD8228 LED ring light

Visitors to Elektra’s booth will be able to see the LD 8228, an LED ring-shaped surface mounted light that won the lighting category award at Interzum 2023.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Elektra, a German-based manufacturer of LED lighting for furniture, cabinets, closets, store fixtures, and other interior applications, will exhibit at the Closets Expo for the first time. The national tradeshow will be co-located with Wood Pro Expo Illinois, April 18-19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

Visitors to Elektra’s booth will be able to see the LD 8228, an LED ring-shaped surface mounted light that won the lighting category award at Interzum 2023. Elektra touts it as a “real eye-catcher” because of its minimalist design in the trendy color black. The LD 8228 provides glare-free and high-intensity lighting. Elektra also notes that compared to conventional surface-mounted spotlights, the ring luminaire features a significantly lower material input of the housing, the cover and the production of the LED circuit boards. The circuit board is manufactured in 90° ring segments and assembled into a ring after fitting. The close positioning of the LED segments on the carrier material benefit to the efficiency per LED carrier plate with maximum 'less waste' effect.

Elektra adds that the LD 8228 is easy for retrofitting because the luminaire is simply installed with adhesive tape and can be removed without leaving any residue when dismounted.
