Our industry is a vibrant tapestry of innovation, design, and functionality. This issue’s features—which range from exploring trending styles and finishes to the insightful case study of Perfection Custom Closets, not to mention the eagerly anticipated 2024 Top Shelf Design Awards finalists—underscore the diversity and creativity that fuel our field.

As we prepare for the 2024 Closets Conference & Expo in Schaumburg, Illinois, I am reminded of the words of the great inventor Alexander Graham Bell, “Before anything else, preparation is the key to success.” Our gathering from April 17-19, 2024, represents the pinnacle of preparation and opportunity, as it’s the only international tradeshow dedicated to our industry. This event promises to be a landmark occasion, building on the success of previous years, with attendees from across the globe converging to share, learn, and innovate.

The conference will begin with a full-day educational program, including plant tours and a welcoming reception for newcomers. Live demonstrations, expert-led clinics (how to install scribe molding!), and the chance to network with peers and suppliers are just a few highlights of what promises to be an enriching experience.

The ACSP will offer certification testing at a reduced cost and a Designer Exchange on Friday covering selling strategies, integrating leather into your designs and projects beyond the closet. These sessions go above and beyond traditional solutions. Our varied presenters will share experiences and innovative solutions to challenges.

Schaumburg, with its convenient location near Chicago O’Hare and proximity to many dining and entertainment options, offers the perfect place for our event. In 2024, ACSP is setting ambitious goals to increase our membership, complete the study guide for the Certified Storage Designer exam, launch a discount program for members, and build our exclusive members-only platform, CIRCLE. Have you seen our brand-new website? Initiatives like these are designed to provide more value, resources, and connections within our industry.
