HOLSTEIN, Iowa — VT Industries broke ground March 13 on a $16 million expansion of its Holstein, Iowa, architectural wood door manufacturing plant. Slated for completion in spring 2025, the expansion will add 175,000 square-feet to the production footprint, marking the company’s largest addition to date.

VT said the investment emphasizes the company's commitment to its architectural wood door customers and impending growth, as well as the local community and employees. “VT Industries has been proud of its continued growth within the Holstein community since my grandfather, Roger Clausen, founded the company in 1956,” said Aaron Clausen, vice president of Operations for the Architectural Wood Door Division.

According to VT, the addition will accommodate increased capacity for finished goods, provide space for future opportunities, and will also improve manufacturing efficiencies.

"This expansion and investment in technology continues to strengthen the valued customer partnerships that have afforded VT its growth throughout the past 68 years, and it will sustain us well into the future,” said Doug Clausen, president and CEO.

Headquartered in Holstein, Iowa, VT Industries is a leading manufacturer of commercial architectural wood doors, countertops, and surfaces. The company’s three divisions serve customers from 16 facilities located throughout the United States and Canada. The company is listed in the FDMC 300, a ranking of North America's largest wood products manufacturers based on their sales.
