Video workshop explains American hardwood lumber grades

WASHINGTON – The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), in conjunction with the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA), released a video workshop created to provide “a simplified but informative explanation” of the NHLA grading rules for American hardwood lumber.  

The 17-minute grading workshop video s presented by Dana Spessert, chief inspector of the NHLA.

NHLA has developed and updated internationally recognized hardwood lumber grading rules for more than 150 years. AHEC incorporates those standards in promoting American hardwood exports to companies around the world. AHEC also published the Guide to Sustainable American Hardwoods
