HOUSTON, Texas – Woodcraft Industries, a Quanex Building Products company, was recently recognized by the Forest Stewardship Council for its commitment to forest stewardship. It was one of six companies honored during Greenbuild 2019 for being FSC certified from its beginning, 25 years ago.

“The FSC is one of the most recognized and well-respected forest stewardship organizations in the world, and we are proud to have been a part of it from the very beginning,” said Brian Cummings, President, Woodcraft Industries. “Congratulations to all the winners of the FSC Leadership Awards and to the FSC for 25 years of progress toward responsible sourcing and forest management.”

Woodcraft Industries produces hardwood and laminate cabinet doors and componentry. Woodcraft Industries was among the first to achieve FSC certification 25 years ago and it continues to be an important part of its business today.

The FSC Leadership Awards recognize forest owners, builders, architects, retailers, paper mills, manufacturers and environmental organizations that exhibit excellence and commitment to forest conservation. The first FSC General Assembly took place in 1993 with a goal to create a voluntary, market-based approach that would improve forest practices worldwide. Today, the organization operates in more than 80 countries. See http://www.woodcraftind.com
