Tips and techniques for manufacturing cabinetry and architectural millwork were seen by more than 80 North American professional woodworkers and industry suppliers during plant tours of North Atlantic Corp, and South Shore Millwork. The tours were conducted as part of the 88th annual meeting of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association, which took place Sept. 19-21 in Providence, Rhode Island.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Wood Products Manufacturers Association elected new officers to its 2018 board of directors at the 88th annual meeting, held Sept. 19-21 in Providence, Rhode Island. Doug Cummings, Cummings Veneer Products Inc., will take over as  president of the WPMA. Serving with Cummings on the 2018 executive committee are: Chris Moore, Taylor Lumber Co. Worldwide Inc., vice president; Terry Gross, Brown Wood Inc., treasurer; John Lentine, Boyce Highlands, assistant treasurer; and Pete Scheira, Fancher Chair Co., immediate past president.

WESTMINSTER, Mass. - The Wood Products Manufacturers Association (WPMA) and its partners Pennsylvania and Indiana Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Companies (PLM/ILM) announce that a 5 percent cash dividend has been declared for participants in the 2015 Safety Group.  WPMA members will share a pool of $333,801 based on their eligible annual premium. This program is available through your current insurance agent and has paid dividends in 6 of 8 years.  It has averaged a 4.25% cash dividend since its inception.
