Domenic Marcolongo, Las Vegas Closet Design, is a 2024 Top Shelf Design Awards finalist.

Category:
Home Office: Under 150 sq. ft.

Project title:
Home Office Transformation

Project Description:
Our clients wanted a home office workspace that felt comfortable enough to spend all day in but had a wow factor when they had company. We chose to wrap the entire ceiling in a painted MDF to give dimension to the room and create a cozier atmosphere. Our clients wanted to keep the cabinetry dark, so we used a stained walnut to lighten the work surfaces and floating shelves to keep the room feeling light and energetic. The floating shelves were illuminated for task lighting on the work surface and ambient lighting for decor.

Project Construction:
This project was built on-site using MDF for the cabinetry & ceiling beams and walnut veneer for the floating shelves. The back panels in the open bookcase shelving are lined with the same fabric used on the Roman shades. The floating shelves have integrated silicone light strips hardwired into the house. After painting the cabinetry we wallpapered the entire room to give the room a completed look.

Materials Used:
MDF & Walnut Veneer, JF Wallcoverings, Marcus Williams Wallcovering, Visual Comfort Art Lights

Equipment Used:
Sketchup Pro with Chaos Enscape
