ARDIS to demo manufacturing software at WMS 2023

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – ARDIS, a developer of modular manufacturing software, will demonstrate its latest versions at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo, Nov. 2-4 at the International Centre.

The key modules that ARDIS will emphasize at Canada’s national industrial woodworking show include:

Optimizer – ARDIS says it has collaborated with leading European universities to develop new material optimatizaton algorithms that have been implemented at “some renowned production facilities,” including in the United States. Combining the new algorithms and more intelligent batch composition has resulted in an average yield increase of +5%, the company adds.

CAM Center – This module manages instructions for CNC machines and edgebanding lines in one central platform. CAM Center helps engineers get the right data in the right file format to the right machine at the right time. ARDIS notes, “It becomes even more complex when the CNC-instructions come from multiple sources such as CAD/CAM-software, ERP-systems, CAD-software or just scribbled onto a piece of paper…. As the complexity of production environment increases, so do the requirements for the software that manages all these instructions.”

Perform – This module helps users better monitor their production and production planning. As ARDIS notes, “In a production environment not everything runs as smoothly as foreseen. Rush orders might come in and mess up the planning. Parts get broken and need to be reproduced as quickly as possible. Customers are chasing you on the phone asking about the current status of their projects. All of this results in a lot of communication problems that upset both operators on the shopfloor and project managers in the office, imposing a burden on their overall productivity.”
