Normand to display machines from Pillar and Steel City at WMS 2023
Pillar Machine HP5D Drilling and dowel insertion machine

Normand will demonstrate the Pillar HP5D, a horizontal point-to-point bore and dowel insertion and panel groove machining center.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – Normand, one of Canada’s leading full-service importers and distributors of industrial woodworking equipment, will present equipment from Pillar Machine and Steel City at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo.

Those featured products are in addition to demonstrations of panel processing equipment manufactured by Vitap, Cehisa, and Altendorf.

Pillar MMJT miter machine

Normand will present the Pillar MMTJ miter machine, full 3-axis CNC machining center used for producing high-quality miter joints used in cabinet door manufacturing. This machine can produce between 175 and 200 doors per 8-hour shift with one operator.

The HP5D can also cut a panel groove in the center section of the inside edge of the door stile and the entire inside edge of the door rail material.

Steel City Titanium Table Saw

Normand will also showcase a wide range of Steel City’s line of traditional machines that includes table saws, band saws, jointers, planers, drill presses, sanders, and bench-type models.

The Steel City Titanium Series will also be present with along with a line-up of industrial quality production machines for both panel and solid wood processing. The Titanium Series includes an entry-level panel saw, a straight-line ripsaw, a two-sided strato planer, a four-sided moulding planer, and a widebelt sander.
